📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Position Overview: As a Tax Manager with a focus on international tax matters, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and provision activities across our global operations. This role requires expertise in navigating complex international tax regulations, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, and optimizing tax strategies to support our business objectives.Key Responsibilities:International Tax Compliance:Prepare and review tax returns for various jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax laws and regulations.Coordinate with external tax advisors and local tax authorities to address inquiries, audits, and assessments related to international tax matters.Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations across different countries to ensure ongoing compliance and identify opportunities for tax optimization.Tax Provisioning:Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 (US GAAP) or applicable local accounting standards.Analyze financial data, tax positions, and uncertain tax positions to determine appropriate provisions and disclosures.Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to integrate tax provisions into financial statements accurately.International Tax Planning:Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's global tax position, including transfer pricing, repatriation planning, and cross-border transactions.Provide guidance and support to business units on tax implications of international operations, investments, and transactions.Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation through strategic planning and structuring.Risk Management and Compliance:Assess and manage tax risks associated with international operations, including transfer pricing, permanent establishments, and treaty interpretations.Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including timely filing of tax returns and informational reports.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard tax compliance and mitigate risks of non-compliance.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum of [X] years of experience in tax compliance, provision, and planning, with a focus on international taxation.Strong knowledge of international tax principles, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions.Experience with ASC 740 (US GAAP) or equivalent accounting standards for tax provision.Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for tax reporting and compliance.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with external stakeholders.
