Lonza Portsmouth is seeking a Controlling expert who will provide financial and analytical support at the Manufacturing and Site level. The role is responsible for regular analysis and functional support. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Key Responsibilities

Supports the Head of Finance in various financial task (analysis and strategy)Takes a leading role in local and regional Management Teams to set, implement and deliver on local business objectivesShares local or regional responsibility for financial and management accounting in accordance with IFRS, the Lonza Finance Accounting Manual (FAM) and other required accounting principlesWorks with business teams to set and track relevant KPI's for cost controlling.Takes a leading role in overseeing month end close and reporting processesCoordinates with Site/Business and service center teams to prepare site annual target/BSR, outlooks and forecasts, business modeling, monthly closing reporting, variance and analysis reporting, product costing, contribution reporting based on business requirementsLocal/Regional Business Partner - analysis and decision support in the area of pricing, financial analysis for contract negotiations, supply contracts, modelling, project evaluations, costing, performance measures, training, strategic planning, business goal developmentCoordinates local capital expenditure evaluations and submissions

Key Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance or related field7+ years of experience within Finance and ControllingExperienced in financial business modeling and highly analyticalDemonstrated experience in working with diverse teams spread across geographiesExcellent professional oral and written communication skillsHigh level of organizationAbility to re-prioritize activities as required by changes to daily activitiesAbility to work in a fast paced environment and react to any changes in daily scheduled activitiesAble to work within a team, as well as drive team activitiesProblem solving skillsAbility to work independently to complete all required activitiesHigh level of attention to detail at all times
