Matrimonial Associate

We have been exclusively retained by an elite, high-net-worth-focused matrimonial firm in midtown Manhattan seeking to hire a junior/midlevel associate with strong writing skills and who ideally has matrimonial experience. The role would involve a mix of litigation and non-litigation, including negotiation/settlement, working on prenuptial agreements, and significant client contact. The firm seeks an associate who will be a strong draftsperson and have financial savvy. Attorneys are expected to work from the office at least three days per week, and they offer a casual environment. The base salary would likely be about $130,000, and the bonus can be about $25,000-$30,000, depending on the individual’s and firm’s performance; compensation goes up nicely from there as long as performance is strong. They offer attorneys 20% of collections on matters they originate, and the firm expects attorneys to bill about 1600 hours per year (the office is empty at 6 p.m., and weekends and late nights are not expected except if necessary). They pay 100% of an attorney’s health insurance premiums and offer a liberal vacation policy.
