Agency Bookkeeper
We are an Independent Insurance Agency looking for a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper that would like to join our growing team. As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing payroll, handling accounts payable and receivable, as well as other various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial concepts.
Responsibilities:· Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes· Process payroll and ensure accurate calculations· Prepare and post journal entries· Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records· Generate financial reports as needed· Assist with tax preparation and filing· Process commission statements
Requirements:· Preferred 2 years experience as bookkeeper or similar role· Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles· Excellent organizational skills· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines· Strong communication skills· Ability to navigate our Agency Management System
