Job Overview

LPL is seeking an Analyst with a passion for financial markets to join its Investment Research team. As a key player in the team's production effort, you will assist in the analysis, writing, editing and publishing of the team’s research content, and work closely with other groups at LPL to ensure the department’s market-facing messaging is published in a timely and consistent manner. This role will be hyper-focused on supporting senior research team members in the delivery of research content and collateral that provides an exceptional advisor and investor experience. In addition, this role requires acting as the primary liaison to our advisor-facing Ask LPL Research team by addressing the team's questions and escalations.

Responsibilities

Review and edit content and ensure it follows the LPL Style GuideSupport investment research team in creating content as requiredCollaborate and support research colleagues on daily activities and special projectsAuthor daily and weekly market updatesPerform analysis on Bloomberg and other market related systemsSubmit work to compliance for review and edit suggestionsPost documents to various places for our Advisors to leverageAssist Ask LPL Research team with Research questions and escalationsUtilize superior attention to detail and accuracyWork in a high-volume workplace and interact with a wide variety of partners and groupsAdhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Economics, Finance, or a related field of study, or equivalent additional experience and a HS Diploma/GEDMinimum 1 year of experience in financial services, preferably in a fast-paced/high-volume environment

Core Competencies

A passion for financial markets and an understanding of fundamental and technical analysisExperience with financial services writing/editing is a plusStrong editing and proofreading skillsExpertise with use of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Experience with Bloomberg, Factset and Morningstar

Preferences

Series 7, 63, 65 and 66 are a plusA background that includes investment product knowledge

Pay Range

$24.15-$36.23/hour

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
