📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Purpose And Job Summary
Lument provides comprehensive capital solutions for multifamily, affordable, seniors and health care real estate. This includes a full suite of financing and strategic solutions such as investment banking, mortgage banking, private equity, a variety of direct balance sheet lending options, investment sales, and mergers and acquisitions. The Capital Markets group is seeking an Associate to contribute to the growth of the business, focusing on all CRE asset classes and partnering with a wide variety of capital providers. The Analyst will be an integral part of the team, responsible for a variety of analysis related to new and existing investments, additionally will assist with communication between /with borrowers and capital partners.
Lument is currently seeking to hire a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst for its Columbus, Ohio or New York, New York location (other regional Lument office locations considered). The M&A advisory group within Lument has a lean senior team, led by Wall Street veterans who focus exclusively on sell-side, buy-side, sale/lease-back, operator replacement, ESOP, and JV/equity capital deployment advisory and will offer an Analyst transaction exposure typical of more senior professionals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive financial analysis and valuations for M&A transactions.Creation of offering memoranda, management and board presentations, pitch books, and other material relevant to originating and executing M&A transactionsDeal management from pitch to closing including day-to-day interactions with Lument’s banking staff, buyers, sellers, and other deal participants.Review and negotiation of legal documentsTrack industry developments, trends, and comparable salesInvolvement in M&A team strategic initiatives to continue growth trajectory.Work professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkers.Other projects and duties as assigned.

This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role interacts with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.

Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or related field strongly preferredMBA with emphasis in finance, accounting, and/or real estate meaningfully considered1-2 years of investment banking, M&A, or related experience requiredWork experience in the senior care and/or other healthcare real estate sectors is preferred, but not requiredWork experience in affordable or market rate housing sectors is a positive considerationFINRA Series 79 and 52 required within 60 days of start dateAbility to work well under pressure and adjust to varied workloadsPosition requires focus and attention to detail, an independent, self-starter mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environmentCandidate must demonstrate integrity, a professional demeanor, a positive team-based attitude and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all respectsInitiative and strong sense of personal motivation as well as responsibility
Annual base salary gross: $90,000 - $110,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA’s salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA's total compensation package for employees.
