Role Description

As a Systems Support Specialist at LVT, you will respond to alerts of units offline or underperforming and remotely troubleshoot them, working to restore functionality. You will diagnose cellular issues including connectivity, stability, and data transfer speeds. You will troubleshoot issues at all layers of the OSI model affecting each unit’s gateway and any devices on its LAN including cameras, speakers, and Linux hosts. You will ensure all networked components on each unit are running their latest approved firmware and passing all required health checks. Finally, you will troubleshoot our proprietary Linux-enabled Edge Controller ensuring the availability and performance of system resources are optimal and that LVT services are installed and running.

Responsibilities

Resolve incidents and escalations assigned to your teamEnsure all networked components on a Live Unit are running the latest firmware and standard configurations, and passing all required health checksTroubleshoot Linux operating system and system resources ensuring availability and performance are optimal and that all necessary LVT services are installed and runningReview system logs to identify possible causes of device or service failures

Required Skills & Qualifications

CompTIA Network+ and Linux+ certified or equivalent certification(s)2+ years professional systems administration experience
