POSITION: Senior Project Manager
LOCATION: Clifton Park, NY
SUMMARY: Our client, a family-owned commercial construction company, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction Senior Project Manager to join their award-winning business in the Clifton Park, NY area. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction project management and be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine and define scope of work and deliverablesPrepare budgets, cost estimates, schedules and timelinesPredict resources needed to complete projectsObtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory and legal prerequisitesCoordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractorsManage costs in order to meet budgetManage subcontractor and supplier relationshipsManage construction schedule and activitiesIssue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelinesEnsure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codesExplain contract and technical matters in a clear mannerProblem-solve to address delays, emergencies, or other issues
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a Project Manager (Preferred 5-10+ years’ experience)Strong understanding of Concrete, Masonry, Carpentry, Metal Framing and Drywall ConstructionExceptional time management skills, ability to estimate work effort and time needed for various construction jobsWillingness to travel within a 1-hour radius of Clifton Park to visit job sitesAbility to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costsGood writing skills for proposals and reportsExcellent technical skills and understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprintsExcellent communication and negotiating skillsWell-organized and reliableBSc/BA in engineering, construction, or relevant field preferred. Will accept Associates Degree with relevant experienceUnderstanding of scheduling software, MS Project or Primavera
SCHEDULE & BENEFITS
