📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Magnify Talent Solutions has an exciting new role looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer! Our client is in the data solutions industry that partners with name brand organizations throughout the US!
They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team and lead data efforts around their data processing environment. Management of engineering assets, automated deployment, and statistical process controls.
Technical Skills & Responsibilities:Work closely with engineering teams to collect data from internal and external systems.Lead essential discussions with technical and non-technical colleagues to understand data and reporting requirements.Analyze the business needs, profile large data sets, and build custom data models and analytics to drive the business decision making and customers experience.Design table structures and define data pipelines to build performant data solutions that are reliable and scalable using tools.Develop and extend design patterns, processes, standards, frameworks, and reusable components for various data engineering functions.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to provide actionable insights to different business units.Support, mentor, and coach junior engineers.Perform SQL and ETL tuning as necessary.
Qualifications: 5+ years working experience in analytics engineering, with a strong focus on data pipeline development and optimization.Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work at a fast-pace while managing multiple tasks.Multiple years of experience in Data Warehousing and the underlying methodologies and principles.Solid understanding of advanced concepts in SQL including under-the-hood performance implications.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience with a variety of data store types, including many of: relational, document-structured, columnar, fielded index, blob, key-value, and other common structures.Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python).Knowledge of agile development and DataOps principles.
