We are currently seeking an SVP of Physician Operations to oversee the planning and transformation of the Maimonides Doctors’ Faculty Practice (MDFP) to an academic, integrated multi-specialty physician organization rather than a collection of independent clinical departments. The focus will include an assessment and development of standards to optimize patient access and clinical efficiency, capture of quality metrics from an operational standpoint, financial performance and close collaboration with the executive team.Some responsibilities include:Participate in the gradual migration of physician practices into the Maimonides Doctors Faculty Practice (MDFP) to support the organizational mission with more standardization of EMR and billing platforms.Oversee the operations of the MDFP, ensuring efficiency, optimal revenue capture, coding accuracy, and compliance with and documentation of quality metricsReorganize practices to optimize patient access and maximize acquisition of new patientsStandardize operations and financial reporting across practices to extent possibleHelp identify physician recruitment needs (volumes and strategic growth efforts)Provide collaborative support for Maimonides captive PCs from an operational perspective.Reorganize MDFP practices to maximize integration and efficiency, minimize patient leakage, and ensure quality metric complianceOversee gradual migration of MDFP practices to a common EMRWork productively with medical directors of practices to ensure physician compliance and respond to legitimate needs of physicians.Ensure that visits are closed out by providers in a timely manner and coded efficiently and accurately and financial performance is optimized.We require:MBA, Masters in Finance or Accounting or Health Care AdministrationSignificant experience in running a sizable faculty practice or practice system from an operational and, preferably with financial competenciesGood written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills.Understanding of cost accounting concepts.Computer proficiency with MS Office and Peoplesoft Salary range $375K-$425K.
