Job Title: EHS Safety Advisor

Location: Portland, TX

Pay Range: $45-49/hr

What’s the Job?

Spearhead the implementation of the project-level safety management program. Provide invaluable assistance to project and construction management, ensuring compliance with safety requirements. Collaborate with various project-level functional leads to integrate safety requirements into work products and activities. Conduct safety assessments and inspections of project construction activities to monitor compliance with ES&H requirements. Offer technical support and assistance directly to construction supervision and subcontractors. Provide comprehensive project ES&H planning and develop safety and health-specific plans and mitigation strategies. Foster a safety-centric culture by participating in safety awareness training programs and facilitating safety meetings.

What’s Needed?

University/B.S degree in life sciences (e.g., biology, public health) or physical sciences (e.g., physics, chemistry), or safety/industrial engineering (preferred) Advanced knowledge in a field of science, safety/industrial engineering, or related discipline. Proficiency in safety programs/engineering systems, principles, and methodologies. Familiarity with national and international safety laws/regulations and industry standards for ES&H. Prior practical work experience in office settings and field locations performing safety-related responsibilities. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Physical capability to conduct field inspections and participate in project walkdowns.
