Accounting Manager

Marcum Search is assisting our client in their search for an Accounting Manager.The Accounting Manager will perform and oversee the accounting department's daily operations and contribute to our financial strength and operational efficiency as they continue to grow. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional with a strong background in accounting practices and a passion for financial management.

ResponsibilitiesConduct daily cash reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.Manage the daily posting of accounts payable and oversee invoicing and accounts receivable.Review and maintain accurate vendor ledgers and process weekly check runs.Perform monthly bank reconciliation and prepare regular financial reports for owners and lenders, including quarterly and annual statements.Place a strong emphasis on cash flow management, including detailed budgeting, planning, and forecasting.Calculate sales commissions accurately as a part of the payroll process.Maintain direct interaction with vendors and customers to research and resolve account discrepancies.Prepare annual budgets and monitor expenses to ensure alignment with the financial plan.Oversee monthly sales tax duties and ensure timely compliance.Make accurate journal entries and manage inventory experience/COGS.Maintain strong proficiency in QuickBooks and e-commerce platforms like Stripe/Chargebee.Exhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Excel.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting role with managerial responsibilities.Ability to meet tight deadlines, effectively multi-task, and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within a team.Proven track record of defining and executing processes that enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
