Senior Vice President - Finance

Marcum Search is assisting our client in their search for a SVP - Finance.

Position SummaryThe Senior Vice President of Finance is a crucial executive role within our organization, charged with spearheading the Accounting Team to meet our strategic financial objectives. This individual is tasked with managing all financial and accounting operations, ensuring the development and execution of fiscal strategies, adherence to GAAP, and the establishment of effective internal control systems for accurate financial reporting.

ResponsibilitiesOperationsLead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accurate and comprehensible communication of financial information.Collaborate with the Controller to approve all financial reporting and partake in crucial organizational decisions as a member of the Executive Team.Cultivate and sustain robust business relationships within the Accounting Department, across the organization, and with external parties.Supervise the organization's financial transaction processing systems to maintain efficacy and security.Establish and uphold operational best practices.Formulate Accounting Department policies and procedures for approval.Oversee the management and fiscal health of employee benefit plans, focusing on optimizing investments and cost efficiency.Engage in contract negotiations and due diligence for new and potential business ventures.Present financial data, trends, and insights to the senior management and Board of Directors.Devise accounting models for financial analysis, forecasting, and communication of budgetary variances.People Management and DevelopmentLead with a progressive approach that empowers team decision-making and fosters professional growth.Adapt communication techniques to suit various audiences and endorse a healthy work-life balance.Promote a positive work culture characterized by engagement, responsibility, and progressive action, reinforced by staff recognition.Work with the Controller to recommend a restructured Accounting Department organizational chart for executive approval.PlanningAssist in shaping the company's strategic direction in finance and accounting while ensuring the implementation of tactical initiatives.Monitor and support the application of strategic business plans and best practices.Conceive strategies for financial and tax optimization.Develop and manage processes for capital requests, budgeting, and expenditure monitoring.Create financial performance indicators that align with the company's strategic goals.Enhance the organization's financial transaction procedures and client communication methods.

Salary range is between $300-$400K.
