We Require

Six (6) months of clerical and customer service experienceHigh school diploma or GED

We Also Value

Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteTyping speed of at least 50 wpmOne (1) or more years of clerical experience including typing, receptionist work and customer serviceOne (1) or more years’ experience managing and scheduling calendars in Microsoft OutlookSupplemental courses/training in computer software applications, business practices, business machines, or related subjectsIntermediate or advanced outlook experience

Job Contributions

Acts as the receptionist for the department by greeting internal and external customers at the main customer service desk and assisting them with the check-in process.Provides customers with clear explanations and directions.Schedules conference rooms for internal and external customers.Answers and refers telephone calls and visitors to the appropriate department personnel.Receives incoming and outgoing deliveries and assures each one is properly logged in and delivered to the appropriate person.Reserves and checks out county motor pool vehiclesSorts and files documents and records, maintains spreadsheets to include sorting alphabetically as well as numerically, and researches and cross-references files.Assists in a back-up role with records processing and reprographic services.

Working Conditions

Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
