Senior Tooling Manager

We are seeking the next Senior Tooling Manager for an established, world class manufacturing group in the Greater Pennsylvania area! The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of injection/blow molding machinery and tooling operations soup to nuts. A true problem solver and leader who isn't afraid to roll up his/her sleeves. This person will direct and oversee tooling engineering efforts to meet customer and manufacturing requirements across all projects. WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS (Essential Duties):• Responsible for the strategic oversight of all molding project proposals and/or plans to determine time frame, funding limitation, procedures for accomplishing project and allotment of available resources to various phases of project• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel• Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority• Suggests methods, materials and tooling modifications per procedure• Conducts quality samples, debugging prototypes and production tooling per procedure• Implements new molds, system improvement methods, and experimental designs• Acts as the project liaison, frequently interacting with outside departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Package Development, Customer Service, General Management• Analyzes production capabilities and standards• Subject matter expert on statistical processes and capability studies• Defines department standards for mold/processing capabilities and qualifications along with leadership• Constantly driving process development and improvement• Hands-on approach in the design of experiments and testing techniques utilized, providing guidance to the team• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with strong processing background• 3-5 years related management experience working in plastics technologies with injection and/or injection blow mold machines• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables• Troubleshooting of technical problems; analytical skills involved with being a resourceful and innovative problem solver• Experience in injection and/or injection blow molding operations• Experience with tooling• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, job orders, standard-operating procedures, safety rules and maintenance procedures• Advanced processing skills• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively• Strategic thinker with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement
