Casualty Claims Rep
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
PURPOSE:To direct flow of auto liability claims. Proper adjusting of casualty files from onset of loss through settlement to minimize and reduce exposures to the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Receive first reports relating to Risk Management coverage2. Control claims to insure proper handling occurs to conclusion3. Assign claims as required to outside adjuster and direct adjuster activities to conclusion4. Manage claims within department per procedures to insure investigation, evaluation, and settlement negotiation5. Manage correspondence relating to claims6. Train and counsel new members of department in position as required7. Maintain diary system relating to claims issues8. Develop procedures to follow when new systems/dutiesadded to department9. Notify company departments as required of accidents/ injuries10. Obtain company documentation to process claims11. Communicate with internal/external customers to insure coverage, costs or services needed are met12. Attend management and other meetings relating to the department as required13. Attend mediations, arbitrations and trials14.Other duties as assigned
