Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Development

Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Development leads a team of supply chain associates, in project management and supplier quality in support of company goals and objectives. The role has oversight of strategic support of material’s role in new product development and product improvement. This includes sourcing selection, developing new sources, supply quality performance support, and project management processes focused on materials. Leveraging these processes to mitigate risk in actual material selection along with costs, requires alignment with other key roles in the enterprise supply chain team. In addition, the role supports Marvin product development, operations procurement and production, and enterprise risk management.

Highlights of your role

Lead, coach, train and develop the Strategic Sourcing & Development team members. Develop, execute and measure the effectiveness of processes by which the team works to support the organization for consistency, sustainability and risk management. Support and implement sustainable material practices. Evaluate supply chain and procurement risks, develop plans to mitigate risks along with other key stakeholders, and ensure risk mitigation plans are executed effectively. Ensure effective supply chain quality practices are performed effectively (e.g. APQP, PPAP, Incoming Quality) Manage supplier development processes, ensure effectiveness. Support supply partner relationship management (performance, negotiations (cost), risk mitigation) as needed. Continuously learn in a dynamic environment and assess the fenestration supply chain landscape for new technologies, innovations in materials and potential/new supply partners.

MRP systems utilization experience or accelerated learning aptitude in technology/systems Project Management leadership; can develop and implement processes. Also want to make sure you have

Bachelor's degree in a related area from a recognized program or institution is preferred. 7+ years successful leadership in manufacturing procurement and/or materials management/leadership experience.
