Overview
The Production Supervisor position is responsible for coordinating and directing Team Members to support high-volume manufacturing operations, including determining effective processes to get things done, and organizing people and activities efficiently.
The Production Supervisor plans and assigns work, administers policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
They are also responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives as described by the Plant Manager.
Requirements
HS Diploma or GEDMinimum of two years in a production supervisor role in a lean, high-volume manufacturing environmentExperience working in a lumber manufacturing environment a plusProven experience related to lean principles and practices, and continuous improvementAble to use simple math and use basic handheld measuring toolsProficiency with Microsoft Office and ExcelFluency in English, both written and spoken. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.On rare occasions, applicants must be available to work at least one weekend day.Must be able to push, pull and/or lift to 40 pounds.Must be able to stand for 10-hour shiftsWill need their own safety toe shoes to start employment.
The rate of pay for this position begins at an annualized salary of $72,000 (for a 40-hour work week) + benefits. Base pay may increase depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. This information is specific to Verdi, NV and may not be applicable to other locations.
