Project Manager, Translation & Localization Services
Coordinates translation and localization projects to ensure consistency, quality, and efficient turnaround of deliverables.
Status: Full-timeLocation: Remote. A U.S based position.
Roles and Responsibilities:General duties include:Project Managementtranslation/localization projects end-to-end, including creating and monitoring project schedule/budget, allocating and managing linguistic and technical resources to ensure that quality, deliveries and margin stay on plan.with linguistic assets (TM, TBs, style guides) and implements Translation Memory and any other applicable technology.closely with other key teams/team members such as business development, production, DTP, QC/QA, accounting, etc.
Ensures proper QC/QA of the project.jobs and archives files, while ensuring the utmost accuracy.project reports for management, clients, or others.
Client Facing Responsibilitiesscheduled on-call support.with the client regarding project status and any project related issues (ex. questions from translators, etc.).on a continuous basis, professional skills and industry knowledge.duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:Preferred qualifications include two years prior experience in translation and localization project management, with a focus on multilingual projects involving usage of CAT tools, plus experience with one of the following: eLearning, media localization, transcreation, machine translation, website/software localization. However, relevant education or equivalent qualifications may be also considered in a replacement of experience.
Required Qualifications:knowledge of industry standard localization tools, CAT, TM, TMS and MT tools.localization workflow experience (product localization) is preferred.written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in spoken and written English language. Fluency in a second language (spoken and written).analytical problem-solving skills.organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.to work independently and multi-task.skills and ability to listen and negotiate.and resourcefulness.be willing to work occasional extensive hours to meet client project requirements and provide after-hours on call support when required.
Additional Preferred Skills:Minimum 3 years of experience, preference for candidates with 5+ years of experienceStrong proficiency in Phrase and familiarity with at least another CAT tool (Lokalise, XTM).Experience in website & software localization..
