📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Company: Bank of AmericaHybrid: Three (3) Days OnsiteLocation: Charlotte, NCCompensation: $60/Hour W2
Responsibilities:Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.Contribute to test planning, and in Scrum teams, construct test cases aligned with sprint objectives and story acceptance criteria.Automate test cases for User-Interface (UI) and database using tools such as Selenium/Tosca.Generate and manage test data essential for executing test cases effectively.Execute test cases, encompassing manual and automated tests, and meticulously document test results.Test new and existing features, debug code (unit and integration), and meticulously report errors and failures.Collaborate closely with the development team for efficient defect triaging.Perform testing at all levels (Functional, Integration, and Regression).Design, develop, and execute automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency.Take ownership of end-to-end testing processes.Identify and monitor software defects and inconsistencies, offering timely resolutions.Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to standards and processes.
Requirements:Essential Skills:8 years of extensive experience in Software Testing.Proficiency in Automation testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database.Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changes.Experience with Autosys scheduling of jobs.Ability to apply test strategies with over 3 years of experience in data analysis.Proficiency in writing and executing Unix commands.Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester utilizing SQL, Database, and ETL technologies.Strong proficiency in crafting complex SQL queries using Joins.Familiarity with Hadoop.Capability to document and troubleshoot errors effectively.Working knowledge of test management software such as qTest, JIRA.Understanding of project lifecycles (SIT, UAT).Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with advanced interpersonal and presentation abilities.Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.Self-directed with a proactive approach to completing assigned activities.Capability to collaborate effectively within large teams.
