Matrix is looking for a highly motivated and analytical Data analyst to support finance and accounting functions. The data analyst engineer will play a crucial role in transforming data into valuable insights that drive informed business decisions and support accounting processes. This position involves supporting all existing invoicing processes across our client's AP System, onboard new Shipper invoices, ensuring little to no errors in our Shipper and FMC invoicing process, gathering and analyzing data from various sources that feed into financial calculations, creating reports and dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to provide actionable recommendations, and building data pipelines as needed. Responsibilities Onboard new shipper invoices. Work closely with the finance, onboarding, and product teams to understand the format, channel, and cadence of invoices. Build new formats as needed. Assist finance with existing customer’s change requests. This might include migrating to a new invoice provider, changing formats, adding additional data which might require new pipelines. Continually automate the shipper invoicing controls to drive scalability in finance teams’ processes and reduce errors. Support FMC invoicing process. Working closely with the transportation and finance teams to understand shortcomings of the invoice audit process and fix it via automation and tools. Collect financial actuals from Bill.com/NetSuites into our internal databases. Allowing us to have richer data for modeling and alerting. Assist with collection of any additional financial data.The Sr. Data Analyst will solidify our finance data collection and accuracy, primarily focusing on customer invoices and transportation reconciliations. This person will be responsible for setting us new customer invoices, build the right reconciliation processes, audit invoices, build tools to assist with FMC invoice reconciliation, manage IB/OB audits, and data pipelines that feed into finance calculations.The Data Analyst will take ownership of all existing invoicing, finance pipelines, reporting and dashboarding for the Finance department. They will be responsible for onboarding new shippers, managing existing invoice processes and improving accuracy to 99.999Through automation and training, they will improve the tooling for invoice reconciliation and reduce the burden on the stakeholders by over 75% In addition, they will work closely with Finance to improve current processes, speed up data availability, and build novel pipelines to unlock more capabilities. Basic Qualifications3+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data, and managing data pipelines Proficient in data visualization through platforms like Tableau, PowerBI, or comparable tools. Proficient in Python and the development of ETL pipelines. Experience in writing intricate SQL queries. Exhibit robust oral and written communication abilities.
