📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Shop Helper is primarily responsible for helping Equipment Operators on various types of machines within the Fabrication Shop.
Essential Functions
Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” Experience and knowledge of operating saws and other Fabrication Shop machinery. Follows prescribed safety standards and regulations. Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
Prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication or machine shop environment. Ability to operate tools and equipment applicable to position. Working knowledge of basic hand tools. Ability to interact and communicate well with others in a fast-paced environment. Obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program. Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time. Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping and occasional climbing on to equipment and/or trailers. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds, with assistance, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment, or tools. Occasional overtime may be required to ensure project deadlines are met.
