Medical Supplies Sorting Associate

Summary: This team member actively contributes towards expanding MATTER's social enterprise efforts and carrying out our mission of helping people launch projects that improve communities! No medical background needed - we will train you! The demands of this position require a self-motivated individual who is able and willing to follow through independently and achieve results with little to no supervision and who thrives in a decentralized structure with many opportunities to lead and make a difference. Main Responsibilities: Manually sort medical supplies to support MATTER’s social enterprise efforts and global projectsManually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehiclesPick orders from inventory and package items for shipment to buyersAssist with maintaining inventory of medical supplies needed for upcoming projects/shipments and locating specific items in inventory to meet project needsKeep medical sorting space organized and safeAssist with further development of sorting process to improve efficiencyFollow policies and procedures outlined by the organization in the Employee HandbookOther duties as assigned Qualification Requirements: Positive attitude and enthusiasm for MATTER and its missionStrong organizational skills to be able to correctly and efficiently classify and sort medical supplies (no medical background required)Strong attention to detail and an entrepreneurial approach to workAction-oriented individual who can recognize problems and solve them quicklyAble to complete tasks with little to no supervisionComfortable performing repetitive tasks over long periods of time Additional Info: Applications must include BOTH your resume and cover letter for further considerationThis is a full-time, hourly position (40 hours/week) compensated at $22/hourBenefits include paid time off, paid holidays, 401K plan, generous health reimbursement arrangement (QSEHRA), and professional development stipendSome standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling crawling, reaching, handling, lifting, pushing, and pulling are required to perform the essential functions of this jobThis position requires being able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basisThis position is not authorized to operate motorized equipment or machineryWork takes place in a warehouse-type setting (no remote work available)No medical background requiredJob offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background screening and personality assessment It is important to consider MATTER's culture of SERVICE before joining the team.
