📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Premier global AM Law seeks Director of Paralegal programs to oversee firmwide initiatives. This role will be pivotal in overseeing and enhancing the firm's paralegal programs across all legal departments. The Director will have the unique responsibility of shaping and optimizing paralegal operations firm-wide, with a focus on refining best practices and driving strategic initiatives. Position can be based in Los Angeles, New York, DC, Boston, Chicago, Dallas or Houston.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive paralegal program encompassing all legal departments, emphasizing superior client support.Evaluate and revamp existing programs and staffing structures, implementing innovative strategies for operational improvement and client service.Establish consistent hiring standards and advancement frameworks.Facilitate professional development through structured onboarding, training, and knowledge management initiatives.Proactively manage attorney and client support needs, optimizing resource allocation and utilization.Collaborate with legal departments and finance on paralegal billing rates and budgeting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.Minimum of ten (10) years of legal and/or paraprofessional experience, including significant managerial experience.Experience managing large paralegal teams across multiple practice areas preferred.
The firm offers a hybrid schedule and a competitive compensation package including comprehensive benefits. The expected salary range for this position is $170K - $280K commensurate with qualifications and experience.
