📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Shop Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning and direction of the day-to-day operations of the store’s shared values, standards, policies and procedure. Partners with Shop Manager to ensure overall management of the store, staff, merchandise and customer service. Assistant Shop Manager is responsible for achieving sales objectives, helping to build a highly motivated team and providing ongoing staff development and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Customer ServiceStresses importance of building a local clienteleAssist associates with various customer service issuesOngoing improvement and support of all aspects related to clientlingStaff DevelopmentOngoing performance management to ensure goals are consistently being metDemonstrates leadership and leads by example.Assists in implementation and execution of the store’s strategic business plansOperationsAssist in developing store as according to brand’s overall objectivesPartner with Shop Manager to carry out buying office directives to ensure proper merchandise mix and sell thru’sMaintain inventory accuracy and shrink rate within company standards by regularly following up with operations and executing applicable initiativesStore VisualsEnforce merchandise standards as set forth by visual departmentMaintains and communicates strong product knowledgeConsistently upholds brand’s imageHuman ResourcesConsistently partner with Shop Manager to network with market competition to assist in staffing and recruitingSupervise store personnel and enforce all department store policiesExhibit strong interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, peers, supervisors and NY officeAssist in developing, training, and continuously motivating sales team
REQUIRED SKILLS:Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsAble to work independently as well as collaborativelyRTW and/or shoe experience is a plus; product experience in luxury or high-end retail is strongly preferredEnjoys meeting and interacting with customersProficient computer skillsEnergy, attention to detail, initiative, and enthusiasm are required
