Security Dispatcher

Maxar Space Systems is hiring for a Security Dispatcher to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. This role is a graveyard shift, working 10 pm- 6am Wednesday through Sunday. In this role, you will work in the Security Operations Center (SOC) and provide support to the SOC Manager.

You will work in the Operation Center which is manned 24 hours a day 365 days a year. You will be protecting the company's Employees, Assets and Property by monitoring the computerized systems.

What you will do day-to-day

Create, program and edit identification badges.

Maintain an inventory of all company badges.

Answer incoming calls from customers/employees with courtesy, accuracy, and respect and direct calls as needed.

Document shift activities and prepare reports as needed.

Respond to facility and medical emergency calls and assist with the coordination of staff members during emergency.

Assists Security Technician with alarm testing and responds to alarms from sensitive areas along with other team members.

Conducts weekly PIV/Riser inspections to ensure that the emergency sprinkler systems are functional. Document findings to the facilities Fire Marshall.

Ability to work well within a group/team environment and work all shifts if needed.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a US Citizen

Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance at the Secret level

High school diploma or GED

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows. Report writing

1st Aid/AED/CPR certified or able to be certified

Must produce a clean DMV driving record

1 year minimum experience in security
