AmergisHealthcare Staffing is seeking a Behavior Technician. The BehaviorTechnician works to facilitate educational and behavioral services withchildren and adults with special needs. The Behavior Technician collaborateswith school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learningand behavioral goals and objectives.

General Comments

HS: 1:1will be in the classroom Agency will provide training Must have Diploma/GED Female student, Natayah 9th grade She rides thebus to and from school. Teacher takes her off the bus in the morning and Jannatook her back to the bus in the afternoon Janaa helpedout with the other kids in the class as well She likespersonal space, asks to have person back away. If they don’t move fast enoughshe may try move them back away from her She is calmand will sleep Can be loudat times, will make animal noises or copy other students She is asweet kid She isindependent, if needs help she will ask. Will do work on her own if she can Needs to bespecific when speaking to her. She follows directions specifically and exactly Will go tothe bathroom on her own when she needs. Did not need assistance when usingbathroom. Mentioned she went with her just in case. Will needmonitor her as she gets easily distracted, may wander around, or if she seessomething she wants she may just try to take it instead of asking. So wasworking with her to ask first. Her lunchesare packed by the mom. May need help microwaving it so she remembers to removethe foil Teacher wasinvolved as well in assisting so Janaa believes she will be able to help thenext person as well

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent requiredRegistered or Certified BTs require Board or State Certification/Licensure (as applicable per state and/or client requirements)Two (2) years relevant experience preferredCurrent CPR certificationCurrent PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state and/or client requirement)Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skillsComputer proficiency required
