Days: Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat

Contract Length: 3-6 months to start, high possibility of extension

Experience: Must be Licensed, some group facilitation experience preferred

Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate therapeutic group sessions for patients dealing with a range of psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote emotional regulation, coping skills, and interpersonal effectiveness within the group setting.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.Provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of patients' progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development and maintain licensure.

Qualifications

Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution.Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in the state of CA.Minimum of 1 year of experience providing group therapy in a mental health setting, preferably within a psychiatric hospital or similar environment.Demonstrated knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with patients from diverse backgrounds.Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and resources in a fast-paced clinical setting.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice.
