School Maintenance- Night Shift

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Custodian to perform a wide range of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide clean, orderly and safe environment. They are responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of an area(s).

Responsibilities

Follows established practices to properly clean and sanitize restrooms Ensures restrooms are stocked with proper toiletries and products Assists with inventory control of products Performs routine cleaning that involves, dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing throughout facility Follows appropriate guidelines in the handling of cleaning chemicals and/or supplies Ensures that entrances to buildings/doors are securely locked when appropriate Performs random checks on facility doors/windows when facilities not in use Responsible for the reporting of unauthorized individuals within facilities/buildings to proper personnel Repairs and maintains power equipment and hand tools such as vacuums, buffers, pressure washers, etc. Performs minor maintenance as applicable Properly cleans floors and applies floor sealer as needed Routinely empties wastebaskets and ash trays Handles and properly disposes recycled materials Follows and enforces policies and procedures such as OSHA and safety regulations and guidelinesPerforms other duties as assigned/necessary

Requirements

One (1) year of custodial experience preferred High school diploma preferred Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required Computer proficiency required Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
