Vice President of ASIC Engineering

Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a high energy and experienced Vice President of ASIC Engineering. In this role, you will lead a world-class global ASIC Engineering team in charge of developing and productizing next generation SoCs.

Lead worldwide ASIC organization, building and scaling to meet evolving business needs while inspiring, recruiting, and developing best talent Foster technology innovation and drive critical architecture decisions to deliver industry-leading solutions Champion best-in-class SoC development practices, from concept to production release; d rive process improvements to increase efficiency Provide strategic and operational leadership and work with cross-functional leaders and executive team to coordinate on business goals, organizational strategy, budget setting, and project execution Provide execution leadership to SoC teams to ensure consistent flawless execution, delivering multiple concurrent SoC projects on time, quality, and budget Partner with Marketing & Sales to enable customer design wins and accelerate ramp up in volume

Qualifications

Solid experience building and scaling large ASIC engineering teams across multiple geographies Proven track record of ASIC execution in high-performance / high-volume markets Subject-matter expertise in embedded systems, CPU and bus architectures, high-speed networking interfaces, communication protocols, and signal processing In-depth knowledge of ASIC development and EDA workflows, including RTL design, analog/mixed signal and digital IP integration, verification, HW emulation, DFT, and physical design Expertise in low-power architectures and implementation techniques in advanced process nodes Practical experience in chip validation and lab debug, system integration, production test bring-up Self-motivated, effective communication skills, and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment Senior leadership, change management, and project management skills MS + 17 years of experience or equivalent, or Ph.D. + 14 years of experience, including 10 years in a senior management role

Compensation And Benefits

MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.

MaxLinear expects to offer a starting base salary within the range of: $ 267,400 to $ 310,000 Annually

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
