The Associate Director of Commercial Excellence reinforces a client centered culture in alignment with the overall mission and growth objectives of the Firm. This position provides training, one-on-one coaching and tool creation for Associates, Partners, and Marketing & Business Development professionals centered on client experience, development, retention and growth. The Associate Director of Commercial Excellence works under minimal supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

As an Associate Director of Commercial Excellence you will

Cultivate the importance of commercial excellence across the organization in alignment with the overall vision and mission of the firmExecute a robust coaching program for lawyers and business professionals that teaches client engagement best practices, guiding them through hurdles and shifting the way they think about business developmentConceptualize, develop and execute innovative, engaging and practical business development training programs for lawyers and Marketing & Business Development professionals focused on threading the firm’s business development philosophy through best-in-class training modulesTranslate the firm’s evolving go-to-market strategy into repeatable actions and tactics deployed through training, written communications and coachingWork with consultants and other resources to apply client engagement best practices from in and outside of law to key programs and initiativesIdentify opportunities to cross sell using data and trend analysis to enable lawyers to accelerate growth opportunitiesWork across practice areas and industry groups to support personal brand development of lawyers to appeal to the unique needs of their buyersGuide lawyers through pipeline development, prioritization, forecasting and goal attainmentManage metrics and ROI around coaching and training

Job Specifications

Bachelor’s degreeAt least ten (10) years of sales and/or sales management experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)Strong knowledge of B2B client service and experience models, training modules and/or the structural organization and complexities of a professional services environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong executive presence and comfort speaking with and coaching lawyers and staff professionals across abroad spectrum of experience both remotely and in-personStrong mathematical and analytical skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to handle and maintain confidential information
