About the job The companyMedicilon USA Corp is a division of Madicilon Inc, which is dedicated to providing integrated preclinical research for pharmaceutical enterprises, biotech companies, research institutions, and scientific researchers worldwide, and promoting new drug development as a preclinical R&D outsourcing service provider. Our chemistry department provides synthetic chemistry and medicinal chemistry services to our clients on a FFS or FTE basis. Our International Discovery Service Unit (IDSU) supports global pharmaceutical companies with high quality, efficient and cost-effective synthetic chemistry and medicinal chemistry services. Our goal is to help our global clients to discover and deliver clinical candidate compounds efficiently. The opportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and productive chemist to join our growing chemistry team at our Woburn, MA location. The successful candidate will partner with both internal and external chemistry teams to generate innovative solutions to synthetic and medicinal chemistry challenges and be skilled in the art of modern organic synthesis, purification, and analytical data interpretation.
Responsibilities· Design, synthesize, and evaluate compounds based on specific project objectives (SAR, SPR, or DMPK).· Plan and execute multi-step organic synthesis and purification of high-quality target molecules.· Support our chemistry teams in troubleshooting and proposing alternative solutions if necessary. · Present scientific findings and research updates in internal and external project team meetings. · Asist in preparing patent applications and publications.· Maintain a safe and productive laboratory environment.· Maintain proper lab notebook and sample management.
Requirements· PhD in organic chemistry with 0-2 years of work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or a related setting· Strong track record of achievement in the synthesis of complex molecules and synthetic route optimizations, with deep knowledge of modern synthetic and analytical techniques· Demonstrated technical/problem solving skills and scientific credentials in synthetic and medicinal chemistry as evidenced by publications, patents, and presentations· Expertise in synthesis, purification, and analytical characterization of organic compounds (NMR, LCMS, and HPLC)· Experience working with CRO chemistry team· Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
