Medix is hiring a remote Contracts and Budgets Specialist to support oncology research trials based out of California! This individual will be mainly working with pre-award sponsor negotiations, logistics, invoicing, reconciliations, and analysis!
Job Description: Reporting directly to the Clinical Trials Budgeting Manager, the Clinical Trials Contracts and Budget Specialist provides essential financial support to advance clinical research at a NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Responsibilities include analyzing, reporting, and working with pre and post award grants. Experience in budget development and negotiating in compliance with financial guidelines are integral in the success of clinical research budgets.
Under general supervision, assist in the development and oversight of budgeting policies and procedures of clinical trials. Collaborate with clinical trial investigators and research teams to develop and negotiate comprehensive budgets for various oncology clinical trials. Perform clinical trial budget updates according to protocol amendments (e.g., additional procedures, treatment arms, etc.). Assist reviewing and analyzing financial performance throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.
Scheduele: Monday - Friday, standard PST business hoursMUST be comfortable working PST schedule
Qualifications Heavy negotiation experience in Pre-award activitiesLogistically know how to write a protocol and differentiate screening vs treatmentNeed to have worked with sponsors specifically negotiating terms in a CTAAbility to helping build out CT budgets
