HEAVY TRUCK DRIVER

INTRODUCTION

This position requires a CDL license (class B with endorsements for air brakes and DOT HAZMAT certification). Driving will be 50% of the time, and Other duties as assigned will be 50% of the time. This position is located in Ft. Meade, MD. This is a part-time, non-exempt position; employees are eligible for overtime pay. A collective bargaining agreement governs this site. Starting pay is $29.67 per hour. Working Hours: 6:30 am - 3:30 pm (Oct-May); 5:00 am-2:00 pm (June-Sept); 2 1/2 days per week. Pre-employment criminal background checks, government security clearance, and drug screening are required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Maintains accurate, complete mileage and collection information per contract requirementsPerforms daily pre-and post-trip inspections of truck fluids, batteries, tires, and safety equipmentEnsures equipment safety precautions are exercised to prevent damage in the performance of collection. Immediately reports any accidents, damage, collision, injury, etc., through the appropriate reporting process. Ensures that all fire and safety precautions are strictly adhered to and material handling and delivery equipment are appropriately utilizedPerforms all other duties as assigned (Driving will be 50% of the time, and Other duties as given will be 50% of the time).
