We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Surgical Pathology, Slide File Room team at the Center for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine!

You Are

An effective communicator, capable of resolving how best to reach different audiences Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances Adept at crafting partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals Very comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

You Will

Review requisitions and order entry orders to verify the accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enter required data into the computer Prepare specimens for in-house testing or send out to reference laboratories for testing using the laboratory information system Maintain a complete, accurate, and organized system to communicate reference laboratories’ results according to laboratory guidelines to clinicians Maintain an organized and secure supply area to ensure easy access to supplies Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area

You Have

High school diploma/GED + 1-2 years of confirmed experience Strong digital literacy in Word and Excel Excellent information leadership skills to communicate, explain, interpret, share, and present information to laboratory and hospital staff

Hours

2pm- 10pm Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays
