Job Overview
The Business Consultant accompanies the business partner throughout the entire IT Demand Management process as ‘One Face to the Customer’. Researches, implements and coordinates changes to improve/optimize Mercedes-Benz Vans’ business processes. Provides functional IT support and is responsible for creating and maintaining internal IT processes and documentation. Ensures sustainable availability, integrity and confidentiality of all IT applications in their area.
Responsibilities
Provides IT support during incidents Conducts analysis of client’s business and functional requirements and binds them with business processesAssesses scope and impact of client business needs and assists with formal requirement documentationSupports IT changes and releasesCreates and manages timelines and implementation plansStudies the impact and benefits of technologyAcquires, improves and applies a broad toolkit of best practices and methodologiesSelects and applies analysis methods (actual analysis) Supports in determining the target state by applying creative, agile methods and proceduresOrganizes and supports workshops to derive the target solution on the basis of the target stateCoordination of the involved areas (IT and Business Partner) during the development, testing and rollout of the target solutionSupports and maintains internal IT processes (ex: Incident Management) and associated documentationSupports thorough problem management as the coordinator after incidents including in-depth Root Cause Analysis, Countermeasures and Solution planningMay be required to provide after-hours / on-call duty support Participate in the plant expansion and other projects.Participate in regular scheduled team meetingsPerforms other duties as assigned
Qualifikationen
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of relevant working experience
or
Associate’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant working experience.
or
Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant working experience.
Preferably a Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related filed.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience in IT Demand Management/Business Consulting is a plusExcellent communication and presentation skillsProject Management (leading projects, major changes/releases or work packages)Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBasic to Intermediate technical skillsBasic understanding of IT security and data securityKnowledge of incident and problem management is a plusKnowledgeable in agile methodology and principles preferred.
