Work with the garage team in repairing and maintaining the MDI fleet of diesel trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities
Perform basic inspection (check fluids, lights, brakes, etc) Perform preventive maintenance on cars, trucks, trailers and other equipment Fuel company equipment. Record and enter maintenance and parts information into the computer. Work in a safe manner adhering to all MDI, state and federal safety rules Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, lift, read, write and lift up to and including 100 lbs. Operate trailer yard spotter. May be required to perform other tasks as necessary. Change truck and trailer tires as needed. Responsible for following all training documents and procedures as it relates to Food Safety and Food Defense.
Qualifications
3-5 years of hands-on repair and diagnosis experience ASE certifications preferred in: Suspension/Steering, Air brake, Diesel/Gasoline, Transmission/Differential; must obtain brake certification within 2 years of hire Experience in transmission/differential repair Intermediate computer skills with diagnosis programs preferred Experience with Mack/Detroit engines Basic welding skills Air conditioning certified- multiple acceptable programs for certification Transmission/ Differential experience Computer literate with Dossier and some OEM engine diagnosis programs Minor hands-on welding experience Work towards Master ASE Certification
