Payroll Specialist (On-Site Hooksett, NH)

Are you ready to become an integral part of our Accounting team at Merchants Fleet? We're seeking a dedicated individual to ensure the smooth and accurate processing of payroll, while also driving positive change through process enhancements and technology integration.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Process and Reporting (75%)

Manage all aspects of time capture, including inputting and balancing employee hours and various payroll items. Oversee the processing of 401K contributions and monitor tax withholdings and deductions. Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Coordinate payroll distribution and handle inquiries from employees regarding attendance and benefits.

Drive Change Through Innovation (20%)

Test and implement new payroll technology enhancements to improve efficiency. Lead projects aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing cross-departmental communication. Communicate changes effectively to ensure all stakeholders are informed and trained accordingly.

Additional Projects (5%)

Take on additional projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Accounting team.

Experiences You Bring

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in payroll processing. Experience with UKG & Ceridian (Dayforce) preferred. Payroll Certification is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Education You Have

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
