The Global Commercial and Digital Experience (CDX) team is a newly formed organization, serving as part of Global Marketing and Technology Solutions (GM & TS). Working cross-functionally, the CDX team aims to enable the enterprise to disrupt the present and build the animal health of tomorrow by designing and delivering advanced commercial capabilities and ambitious digital experiences to help the business launch their next big bets and enable innovation at global scale. We partner across the enterprise to design, scale, enable and sustain capabilities and solutions that generate the greatest impact for the business and value for our customers. We are the critical mass required to support the enterprise across biopharma, technology and intelligence portfolios as they create moments that matter with customers to become the best animal health company in the world.

The Director, Content Excellence and Agency Optimization Lead will report into the Executive Director, Customer Experience & Content Excellence Lead. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team who will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to accelerate and simplify how we bring content to customers and optimize agency partnerships and investments to drive business growth at global scale.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of content marketing, in-house and external agency management models, and digital optimization techniques for Global to local execution.

Primary Activities

Strategic Planning

Lead the development and implementation of content excellence strategies across all channels, ensuring brand consistency, quality, and effectiveness.Make use of available data and insights to create actionable improvements to the performance of content.Develop and implement content personalization strategies and business processes to deliver tailored content and experiences to various target audiences, leveraging data-driven insights and segmentation techniques.

Global To Local Standards & Process Management

Establish and enforce content standards, processes and design templates/guidelines to ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and user experience across all content assets.Optimize global to local content supply chain processes, ensuring seamless localization and adaptation of content for different markets and regions.Define content tagging standards, metadata management and business rules across platforms.Enable seamless collaboration, version control, and workflow management processes.

Investment Monitoring

Monitor content/agency investments ensuring cost-effective planning and execution, while delivering exceptional experiences.Monitors all content/agency budgets and defines measurement framework to monitor ROI on investments.Advise Brand budget owners, procurement and finance throughout process and help to reduce duplication and ensure budgets and compliance requirements are met.

Agency Performance Optimization

Create and own a new agency model, creating guardrails, processes, and ways to measure how Animal Health works with agencies.Develop strategy to manage agency partnerships, including setting and monitoring performance standards, ensuring adherence to guidelines, and driving continuous improvement in agency deliverables.Designate strategic vs. tactical agency rosters to ensure the right talent and investment on the right work.Identify opportunities for global to local execution for top brands to pilot and test agile content methods. Identify a roster and manage relationships with creative and digital agencies to ensure high-quality services and products are delivered within budget and timelines.Directs agency processes, including templates, guidelines and adherence expectations, while communicating and aligning stakeholders Globally, Regionally and Locally

Capability Innovation & Trend Monitoring

Explore and leverage generative AI opportunities to automate content creation, operations, and personalization processes, improving enterprise efficiency and scalability, through the reduction of repetitive tasks allowing teams to focus on strategic priorities and meaningful work.Lead the strategy and implementation of modular content strategies to enable efficient content creation, adaptation, localization, translation and distribution across multiple channels and platforms.Experiment with agile content development methodologies to spark iterative and cross-functional content creation, allowing for a quicker response to market, business and customer needs.Explore effective content re-use and repurpose opportunities globally to locally, including content review and approvals and in-house content capabilities (includes regional/local content delivery service hub models and low-cost production work).Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to personalization, content management and agency optimization.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, identify content process gaps, develop content planning and workflow tools, and execute content initiatives that align with business goals and target audiences.Work across functions including Procurement, Communications, Finance, Global, Regional and Local Marketing & SMEs, CDX peers, IT and Regional/Country Operations, and external strategic partnerships/agencies.Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional teams and mentor them to improve Content Maturity.Approach all projects with a strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization to execute integrated experiences that drive results.Serve as a squad SME related to content governance ensuring consistency, compliance and quality of content via centralized policy and process management.

Performance Measurement & Quality Oversight

Establish content quality and performance management processes, including regular audits, performance analysis and optimization initiatives to improve content effectiveness and impact. Ensure content KPIs and metrics are planned for and tracked during and post-execution to allow for improved decision making.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related areas of study.

Prerequisites

Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in roles such as content Marketing, personalization strategies, content operations/management and agency management, or commercial operations.In depth knowledge of content standards and operations, UI/UX template design, information architecture, modular content, Search Engine Optimization, generative AI and global to local supply chain management.Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize content performance.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and agency partners.Experience with content management systems, automation tools, headless and analytics platforms.Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.Experience in managing global capabilities with an understanding of the dynamics of a networked Global, Regional and local organization.Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with experience in contract negotiations and budget management.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority.Results oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving business outcomes. Ability to drive and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with proven ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, think conceptually, deal with ambiguity, and work under pressure.Ability to execute senior leader endorsed, multi-dimensional projects across a broad group of enterprise stakeholders.Strong executive presence, facilitation, written communication, and presentation skillsWillingness to travel internationally.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
