This program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. Mercury SkillBridge is open to all ranks and experience levels provided they meet the minimum requirements for the position listed below. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Mercury, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as Active-duty service members. In this role, you have the opportunity to

Perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

You are responsible for

Working from diagrams and drawingsUsing hand and/or power tools and jigs.Making continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

3+ years of related experienceStrong assembly skillsAbility to execute on all procedures, processes and work instructionsStrong knowledge of hand tools and their proper applicationMust be able to meet quality and quantity production requirementsHigh School Degree or equivalent requiredMust be a US citizen with an active DOD secret clearance or have the ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Factory Logix preferred but not requiredStrong organizational and time management skillsMust be detailed orientedStrong communication skillsExperience using Microsoft OfficeEffectively learn and stay up to date on product configurations and best practices

Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $32,240 - $48,000 for a Non-Technical Int Specialist at Oxnard CA USA
