Overview
The Referral Coordinator is responsible for maintaining information flow in the managed carereferral process for all contracted managed care health plans. Performs duties andresponsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma requiredExperience: Work experience in a physician's office or medical institutionwith exposure to managed care and primary care rules andpractices.Other: Skill in exercising initiative, judgement, problem-solving, anddecision-making. Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships withstaff, doctors, nurses, patients, and managed carerepresentatives. Skill in organizing work to achieve clinic goals and objectives. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements. Knowledge of computer systems and applications
