Overview
Mercy Women & Children's is a comprehensive service line that includes 12 Labor & Delivery Suites, 2 Obstetric Operating Suites, 6 High Risk Perinatal Suites, 14 Mother/Baby Couplet Care Suites, a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 19 private suites and special suites for multiples and a 20-bed Pediatric/GYN/Surgical unit.
Parents and newborns room together and nurses provide Couplet Care with a typical nurse patient ratio of 1:6. There is a Newborn Treatment Room where procedures may be performed. Pediatric Hospitalists are in-house 7 days per week and manage the care of newborns and pediatric admissions. Lactation Consultants are available 7 days per week. Nurses and technicians are required to have NRP certification.

Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited schoolPreferred Education: BSNLicense: Current RN license in our state Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
