📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Meshbesher and Spence LTD is seeking an experienced workers ‘compensation paralegal with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be able to handle various tasks at one time, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have great time management, professional communication skills and organizational skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and have a desire to assume significant responsibility.
Providing legal support to 1-2 attorneysManaging client filesDrafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and other documents as directedFiling pleadings and other documentsMonitoring case schedules and filing deadlinesManaging attorney(s) schedulePreparing discovery requests and responsesPreparing medical and wage record requestsAssisting in trial preparationResponding to inquiries from and interacting with clients, counsel, and witnessesOrganizing and maintaining case files and documentation, electronicallyContributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as neededOther duties as assigned.
Prior workers’ compensation work experience required. Recent experience in a workers’ compensation setting within the last two years preferred.
