Campus Construction Manager

Meta is seeking an experienced Campus Construction Manager to join our Data Center Design, Engineering, & Construction Team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. Building and operating data centers the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability and capital conservation. The data center engineering team thinks from chip to chiller (or electrical substation), determining configurations and ensuring maximum efficiency of our compute infrastructure, and the Design Engineering and Construction - Delivery Team is committed to continual optimization of the delivery process at each level. The Campus Construction Manager will have the campus level responsibility for project success, GC relationship, team development and relationship management with key cross functional partners at the site in a culture of collaboration, safety and quality unparalleled in the data center construction industry.

Campus Construction Manager Responsibilities

Report to Meta Area Construction Manager, accountable for project and campus success in: Safety, Quality, Schedule Milestones, Forecast Accuracy, GMP AccuracyAssume accountability for DEC Delivery’s culture of partnership, teamwork and growth at the campusRepresent DEC Delivery in the Circle of Leadership at each campus and partner effectively to become a high performing teamManage and develop onsite team of direct report Construction Managers (both Full Time Employees and Contingent Workers) and matrixed reports specializing in Safety, Quality, Project Controls (Cost & Schedule)Provide cost saving solutions and negotiate contractor change ordersManage cross functional team for Owner Furnished Equipment procurement and delivery processProvide weekly project status report (financial, schedule, Q/C)Manage Knowledge capture and transfer at the campus levelManage General Contractor relationship at the campus level to include GC personnel development and successionManage tenant improvement or retrofit work in a live data center environmentManage warranty work program for existing data center buildings10% travel to headquartersRespond on an as-needed basis to emergencies

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent degree15+ years experience in construction and project planningExperience with ground-up construction and greenfield site development requirementsExperience in construction management, capital budget management, and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systemsKnowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including fire protection regulationsNegotiation experience and experience providing solutions to problemsExperience with MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Data center development and construction experienceProcore software experience
