Metric Geo have partnered with a market-leading independent power producer and service provider dedicated to delivering innovative grid-scale and distribution-scale power solutions. Our client is seeking a Director of Renewable Energy Development to lead their portfolio of development projects across North America.
Key Responsibilities:Manage a diverse portfolio of development projects from inception to completion, including land origination, interconnection, permitting, and marketing.Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution, from pre-construction preparation to commissioning and financing.Lead negotiations with external stakeholders, including contractors, landowners, permit agencies, and utilities.Provide expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and scoping for renewable energy projects.Cultivate strategic relationships with partners and stakeholders to drive project success.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.Minimum 6-8 years of project management experience in the energy sector, with a focus on large-scale utility development projects.Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Experience with contract management, project financing, and regulatory compliance.
