Metric Geo has partnered with leading consulting firm seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer to join their dynamic team in Atlanta. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing pipeline engineering and consulting services for their esteemed clients nationwide.
Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Pipeline Engineer, your main focus will be leading the creation of pipeline design deliverables. From small utility distribution upgrades to large transmission projects, you'll be instrumental in driving projects of varying sizes and complexities. Your responsibilities may include
Executing engineering activities and leading the design process for pipelines and related facilities.Coordinating with various stakeholders to obtain necessary surveys, permits, and land acquisitions.Preparing proposals, scope developments, cost estimates, and schedules.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless design coordination.Developing and improving processes, tools, and testing methodologies.Providing leadership, training, and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.Engaging with clients and external stakeholders on a regular basis.Offering field support during construction phases and contributing to business development and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you should possess
A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (a master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience).Professional Engineer registration is strongly preferred.Proficiency with 49 CFR Part 192 and ASME B31.8; familiarity with 49 CFR Part 195 and ASME B31.4 is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Adaptability and creativity in solving complex engineering challenges.
