Conferred Transcripts with a graduation date: Current M-DCPS employees do not need to submit official transcripts if highest degree earned is on file in the Office of Personnel Records (305-995-7258). For non-employees of M-DCPS, official transcripts will be required if you are recommended for the position. Your degree must be from an accredited university. If position does not require a college degree, you are required to have at least a high school diploma. Applicants with academic training and degrees granted outside the U.S. must submit a credential evaluation report that includes a statement of degree equivalency from an accredited agency in the U.S.

Job Description
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
This position is an Information Technology professional who manages and implements technical solutions to meet business requirements. The Lead Systems Analyst works with the department director and staff to implement the current solutions that meet the business needs. The individual will provide architectural oversight, guidance and direction for the tactical implementation and sustainment of solutions.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Work with department director translating business needs into functional and technical requirements which can be implemented as part of a sustainable project methodology. Act as a multi-disciplinary resource with enterprise scale experience in at least two of the following disciplines: COBOL/CICS, web development (C#.NET or VB.NET), database development and administration, ADABAS,
JCL, SAP (HR (PY, OM, PA, BN, and PT), FI (FM, PR, AP, GM) MM,IM.
Collaborate in planning initiatives in application development, systems architectures, future roadmaps, operations and strategic planning. Manage and support enterprise-level applications and servers. Manage processes for automation and scheduling such as CT-M, Microsoft SSIS, or CT-ME. Manage overall reporting strategies to support user needs across a variety of platforms such as Control-D and Microsoft Reporting Services. Create/Provide Solution Architecture documents for specific projects/programs clearly articulating goals, constraints and rationale for all architecturally significant decisions. Collaborate and work with peers within the development team while working on complex assignments or while trouble shooting problems in order to arrive at desired business goal. Define budget, resources and schedule for project/program implementation as needed. Lead scoping and design sessions across cross-functional teams to identify key business components and gather the specifications of their interfaces and business process relationships, ensuring that architecture of the
integrated environment is capable of reaching maximum levels of availability, efficiency, scalability and security.
Support and consult project resources and other teams in different phases of the project and given tasks. Configure/build the application/ process solution in line with the design documents. Ability to support a 24/7/365 enterprise. Supervise various development teams concurrently. Perform other duties related to general responsibilities of the position.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the following physical activities: sitting, mobility, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Bachelorβs Degree and minimum of four (4) years of related experience or minimum of eight (8) years of experience in mainframe programming, web development, or implementation on a SAP platform. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the development and support of IT application systems including analysis, functional and technical design testing. At least two (2) years of experience in/as systems engineer, project supervision, or solution designer in relatively large organizations. Functional or technical knowledge in any of the following areas: COBOL; VB.NET; SQL; SAP. Experience in the following is preferred: CICS; C#.NET; JCL.; Microsoft Reporting Services; SAP Modules relevant to implementation in M-DCPS. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms. Ability to work from various locations.
