Senior Accounting Manager - Manufacturing

The Senior Accounting Manager will report to the CFO and manage all the Accounting processes for this large food comanufacturer.Client DetailsMy Client is a manufacturer that specializes in producing high-quality private-label items, equipped with adaptable capabilities, research and development support, and an extensive array of products.DescriptionTotal ownership of month ends close, including analyzing adequacy of accruals, organizing a depositing journal entry, and preparing month end financial reports.Supervisory responsibility over Accounts Payable FunctionOversee and organize tax reporting to various state agenciesResource for GAAP knowledge of accounting for Cash, Prepaids, A/R, Fixed Assets, Inventory, A/P, Accrued Expenses, Debt, and EquityInternal controls processes and documentationCoordinate with internal departments including operations, training, communications, IT, marketing, construction, and HRAssist with management of annual audit processBuild positive and effective relationships with partners, peers, and managementLiaise to business controlling teams for financial accounting and reporting supportSupport process improvements over general accounting and transactional areasUnderstand Corporate objectives and liaise with business and other Finance discipline units on executionAdditional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementProfileBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldCPA preferred6+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleConsumer products industry and/or manufacturing experience is preferable.Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to interact, influence and align with all levels of the organization, both internal and externalHighly motivated and collaborative with a willingness to learnProficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to be flexible, multi-task, have strong organizational, communication and leadership skills to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with software packages (ERP's) and MS applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.Strong analytical and technical accounting skills required, including understanding of US GAAP, various financial systems and processes, and internal controls.Capability to meet the business requirements of a diversified internal customer base, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, IT, procurement, Corporate, and Divisions.Ability to focus on business and accounting process improvements and integration.Aptitude to work independently, deal with multiple job assignments and possess the initiative to resolve issues.
