Job Description

Must be able to work on weekends - Shift schedule is for Friday to Monday. Responsible for managing and communicating with the team Safety, Quality, People, and overall Costs related information and expectations of the department. Must understand and know the processes and equipment’s for the whole area of responsibility, so you’ll know how to strategize the WIP to meet schedules, to maximize productivity and optimize utilization of manpower, resources and equipment. Supervise and direct production crews, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, as well as daily, weekly and annual performance objectives. Must have a strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills to establish effective working relationships within Microchip. Responsible for keeping a matrix of daily activity, reporting, passdown, and tracking of overall departmental goals. Must be a leader and an example to the team in following all company policies and labor laws. Responsible for employees developmental plans and training/cross training. Must be a coach to the team. Responsible for completion of all required Supervisor trainings. Responsible for timely updating, correcting and approval of employee timecards and vacation requests through Workday. .

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years college degree10 years in industry experience2 to 3 years of leadership/supervisory experienceMust have experience in test floor /production.

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $66,560 - $117,000.*

Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
