We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager. Are you looking to build Software as a Service (SaaS) applications to enable our business customers to undertake their journeys of digital transformation?

As part of the Dynamics 365 engineering organization, our team delivers business applications for Connected Customer Care – for contact centers supporting customers on real-time chats with AI and live agents. As a Principal Software Engineering Manager, you will work with senior business and technology leaders as well as internal business users and partners to conceive, design and implement Dynamics 365 applications and pick the best technical architecture to solve their business needs. We are looking for a dedicated and committed senior leader who can inspire the team and drive design and development of Business applications & Industry cloud vertical applications and solutions leveraging the power of Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Office 365, and Azure. Our product builds on cloud-scale backend services, integrates AI services, and delivers end-to-end experiences through embedded web chat, social channels like WhatsApp, and extensibility through realtime APIs. Responsibilities

Be a proficient manager - mentor, and leader of the team and broader organizationUnderstanding and anticipating the needs of our customers who need to reach to changing business and technology landscape is critical.Understanding of the broader product vision and ability to plan + design various features in stages to reach the end goal in an evolutionary way is critical.Tackle ambiguity, create clarity for your team, generate energy in execution, and manage risks throughout all stages of the software development lifecycleYou will be accountable to the design, implementation, schedule, delivery, of your team and services. Doing this in an efficient way is a needed.This is a technical position, and the ideal candidate should be capable of working in the code, supporting the service, and understanding at a detailed level how the software works.We will look to you to have an informed opinion about what and how the software should evolve and can land your plan in the division. In short, we are looking for proficient engineers to come and do what engineers truly love to do: solve important problems by building great software!

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

6+ years people management experiencePrior experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in object-oriented languagesKnowledge of end-to-end Software development lifecycle

Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,500 - $276,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,800 - $304,200 per year.
